- What is AU Virtual?
AU Virtual 2012 is a web-based event held at the same time as the Autodesk University 2012 conference in Las Vegas. If you can't attend the conference in Las Vegas, AU Virtual is an excellent way to access high-quality Autodesk product training.
Free to all AU members, AU Virtual enables you to watch live-streamed webcasts of important AU events; view on-demand virtual classes in English, Spanish, and Portuguese; view special AUTV productions; and get information from AU sponsors. If you have a question about a class, you can post a question and the speaker will respond within 24 hours for at least one month after AU Virtual.
After AU Virtual, the classes will be available in the Online Learning section of the AU website.
- What can I do at AU Virtual?
You can:
- Watch Live from AU webcasts of the AU Las Vegas 2012 Keynote Address and the 6 Innovation Forums. Check the Live from AU schedule to add these events to your calendar.
- Access on-demand classes in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. View the catalog preview.
- Watch AUTV to see interviews with AU insiders and behind-the-scenes looks at AU Las Vegas.
- Visit sponsors. Connect with AU sponsors, download brochures and other materials, and watch videos.
- Interact with others. Join the #AU2012 Twitter conversation.
- Ask the instructor a question. If you have a question about a class, post your question to the instructor on the Class Q&A tab. Your answer should be posted to the Class Q&A tab within 24 hours. Note: The Class Q&A tab is available only while you are viewing a class.
- Train for certification exams. View classes specifically designed to help you pass certification exams for several Autodesk products.
- How do I access AU Virtual?
We will make the AU Virtual class catalog available on November 15 and the AU Virtual interface available on November 27. On November 27, go to the AU website, and click AU Virtual. You will choose a sign-in method (AU Member, Facebook, or Twitter) and enter your sign-in credentials to access AU Virtual. If you sign in with Facebook or Twitter, you will be asked to link to your AU member account.
If you don't already have an AU member account, you will need to fill out a short profile form to create a member account. You can do this now.
- Will the AU 2012 Keynote Address and Innovation Forums be available on AU Virtual?
Yes, we will live-stream these events, and you will be able to watch them from within the AU Virtual user interface. Use the Live from AU Schedule to add the Keynote and Innovation Forums to your calendar.
If you miss the live stream, don't worry. Recordings will be made available a few days later on AUTV.
- Why is Autodesk University producing AU Virtual?
Nothing can compete with attending AU in person. But we know not everyone can travel to Las Vegas. AU wants you to participate from wherever you are. Providing online training opportunities is also part of Autodesk’s commitment to sustainability.
