Type of Sessions at Autodesk University
AU offers sessions in a variety of formats depending on the nature of the material to be presented.
90-Minute Class - Presented in lecture format with some time for Q&A — 90 minutes long with no breaks. Students will not have or need to use a computer.
90-Minute Lab - Presented with a focus on hands-on computer instruction — 90 minutes long with no breaks. Students will use a computer and follow instructions to gain direct experience in the material or application.
90-Minute Panel - Two or more panelists discuss and offer viewpoints and insights on a subject — 90 minutes long with no breaks. Allow some time for Q&A.
3.5-Hour Lecture - Lecture format with enough time for more in-depth presentation of subject — 3 1/2 hours long with a mid-session break. Allow some time for Q&A. Students will not have or need to use a computer.
3.5-Hour Lab - Presented with a focus on hands-on computer instruction and more in-depth exercises — 3 1/2 hours long with a mid-session break. Students will use a computer and follow instructions to gain direct experience in the material or application.
PowerTracks - PowerTrack sessions are 90 minute lectures that are more than a regular 90 minute lecture. PowerTracks enable attendees to enroll in a series of classes focused on a particular topic or application and a group of classes will be sequenced to create a complete curriculum. PowerTrack presenter will work with the PowerTrack Manager to ensure overall PowerTrack goals are met. PowerTrack presenters will be required to submit their presentation materials sooner and participate in content review conference calls.
