Proposal Guidelines

To qualify for acceptance, your proposal must meet all of the following six requirements.

  • Include a descriptive title for your session(s). Prospective attendees should be able to get a good idea of the session from the title alone.
  • Indicate the type of session: 90-Minute Class, 90-Minute Lab, 90-Minute Panel, 3.5-Hour Lecture, 3.5-Hour Lab, or PowerTrack. (See Session Types for a detailed explanation of each type.)
  • Indicate the experience level your intended audience should have to benefit from your session [All Levels, Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, or "Power User"]. (See Experience Levels for an explanation of each level.)
  • Describe what will be presented. Focus on the material to be covered and the benefits to the attendees. Keep it brief — approximately 100 words.
  • Identify whom the session is intended for (e.g. job titles, industries, etc.), your target audience.
  • Include approximately five learning objectives for the session that clearly indicate what you expect attendees to be able to do during and after they leave the session. (See the following examples and Learning Objective Guidelines)
