Miles Walker is Head of BIM and Design Systems at Foster + Partners, with experience in the building industry spanning over 35 years.
He studied at East London University in the early 90’s and went on to lead BIM at HOK in London and KEO in the Middle East. From 2000 he established an award winning “BIM” approach through early engagement with stakeholders, applying innovative technology workflows to improve coordinated design and project delivery. He has major project experience, this has included St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals PFI project, which won AIA TAP BIM awards in 2005 and 2007. Prior to joining Foster + Partners, he worked at Mace and led BIM for a Data Center campus construction project in the Netherlands.
In 2017, he joined Foster + Partners as a Partner to lead the practice in BIM. In this role Miles leads a team of BIM specialists and coordinators who support the Foster + Partners design studios in the delivery of BIM projects and the leadership design technologies.
