One complex, 7 buildings, 18 SMEP (structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) Revit software models, and a 200-plus-member Project Design Team—all based in 4 separate countries, with 8,000-plus drawings issued through a complicated common data environment (CDE) from concept to tender. In this class, we will describe the challenges and how we used the software to overcome them. This session features Revit. AIA Approved

Tony Pullen

Tony Pullen is a CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) model manager, senior engineering technician, and Revit MEP software coordinator within the building services industry, having completed an HND in building services engineering at London South Bank University. He is an advanced user of Revit MEP software and AutoCAD software, having gained experience on multidisciplinary projects, including mixed-use buildings, high-rise buildings, schools, and office developments both in the United Kingdom and overseas. He has advanced knowledge in the production of public-health-services drawings on Revit software and AutoCAD software, and the production of public-health typical details, schematics, and calculations.

David Flynn

David is Director at Computational BIM Consultancy designtech based in London UK. He is an Architectural Technologist educated at Dublin Institute of Technology (Dip Arch Tech). He lead the BIM efforts while employed at Grimshaw Architects as their global Head of BIM and also previously worked at KPF and AL_A.Previous roles have involved running the Design Technology department at Grimshaw as well as leading drawing package production with large teams as well as technical involvement in design teams for projects in Europe, Asia and North America.He is an expert user of Revit and has a keen career focus on the coordination and delivery of highly complex projects using BIM tools and processes. With Grimshaw, David pushed forward a computational BIM agenda on complex projects across the world.
