Description

This class covers a workflow that allows you as an Inventor Professional user to drive your Tube and Pipe assemblies with a master sketch. You will learn how to create and update robust routes, jacketed piping, piping insulation, drawings and assemblies for individual spools and Piping Layout drawings. You will learn how to use custom content from the Inventor Content Center to populate the routes you create. You will learn how to update and change your routes. You will learn how to document pipe spools in individual drawings as well as in piping layout drawings. In addition, you will learn how to nominalize hose lengths in your BOMs.

Cory Mcconnell

Cory has been using most aspects of Inventor Professional since 2001. Since then he has designed everything from Pipeline Pigs, to medical equipment, to large-scale sulphur processing equipment both single-handedly & as part of larger teams. Along the way, he has written several white papers, tips and tricks, and training materials for Autodesk and other clients. He also acted as a consultant to the Inventor User Experience & QA teams as well as the Vault team, to ensure that his real-world experience was incorporated into Inventor. He has developed and coached clients in workflows for Inventor & was an Autodesk reference customer for the 2013 releases. Cory uses Master Sketch/Skeletal modeling to create very large, robust assemblies.

Alessandro Gasso

Alessandro Gasso is currently employed as manufacturing industry technical lead within the Global Services department at Autodesk, Inc. Over the past 15 years with Autodesk, he has worked as product support specialist for Inventor software, supporting mainly southern European customers and partners. He also led for 2 years the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) Inventor Product Support Team, spent a year as the EMEA technical lead of Inventor software, and was a premium support specialist leading the Premium Support Manufacturing Team. Alessandro was a co-author of the Being Inventive Inventor blog, and he was a speaker at Autodesk University in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Prior to Autodesk, he worked for 7 years as mechanical designer for a company in the defense industry where he used AutoCAD software, Mechanical Desktop software, and Inventor software. Alessandro is a native of Italy who speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, and he holds a master's degree in electro-mechanical engineering from the University of Naples.
