Description

Description

Systra is known worldwide for its expertise in rail engineering, from light and mass transit rail to high-speed rail. This class will describe the evolution of Systra in terms of Building Information Modeling (BIM) adoption and internal organization over the last 3 years. We will take you through Systra’s BIM-adoption process and describe the different phases of the transformation: realize the need, define the vision and road map, and execute it. We will focus on the BIM vision and strategy definition (business value alignment—BVA), which has been a key action in order to structure BIM deployment. Last but not least, you will hear how Systra’s partnership with Autodesk, Inc., has matured during the process, and how Autodesk Services helped us accelerate the process with their expertise. Eric Pruvost

Since 2014, Eric Pruvost has been the director of the Department of Development of Production Tools, which is part of the technical directorate of SYSTRA. This department manages the CAD, geographic information system (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and digital communication expertise for SYSTRA group. As part of his responsibilities, he is leading the SYSTRA BIM project that defines and manages the BIM deployment within the company. He has been working for SYSTRA for 20 years, starting as a railway bridge engineer. He worked for 12 years in the Bridge department, with a specialization in large, elevated-railway infrastructure requiring mass production in CAD. After this period, he took charge of the Multidisciplinary Technical department, managing the development of the stations design—structure, architecture, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing)—and the linear infrastructure track design. After SYSTRA merged with INEXIA Consultants and XELIS in 2012, he worked until 2014 as operations manager for French infrastructures projects.

Louis-Marie Borione

As Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager for SYSTRA in France, Louis-Marie Borione is in charge of BIM technical support in SYSTRA’s corporate implementation project. He has 7 years of experience in change management, procedures and standards definitions, BIM model production, and custom developments. He gave a BIM class, “A Practical Approach for a BIM Deployment,” at Autodesk University 2014, and he had the opportunity to teach BIM to students at the prestigious French engineering school ESTP.

Sylvie Cassan

Sylvie Cassan is currently in charge of developing and deploying Building Information Modeling (BIM) for SYSTRA France. In her role, she is transforming the working methods of the 1,100 employees of the directorate. Previously, she spent 2 years developing business and managing the bids process to provide consultancy services to the Grand Paris Express company. She was trained as a city planner, and she received an EMBA from the business school HEC Paris. Cassan has significant experience consulting for urban stakeholders about city planning, architecture, and transport issues, with a particular focus on needs analysis and change management.

Shakeel Mirza

I'm helping the engineering design industry in their digital transformation through my deep engineering knowledge complemented with strong strategic analysis, leadership skills and business acumen, thanks to my recent vision broadening experience of an executive EMBA at HEC (#1 worldwide by FT) with Major in "Innovation Management & Entrepreneurial Leadership",

For the last twelve years, I've been working in the engineering software industry on the "customer success and adoption", "pre and post sales" and product marketing fronts. I've worked for market leading engineering software (BIM & PLM) providers such as Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes, Unigraphics (now Siemens PLM), ANSYS and Robobat.
