Description

This course illustrates key new features and tools with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 software, InfraWorks 360 software, and Vehicle Tracking software. We will put on display data collaboration between software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. Beginning with a preliminary design, in this class we will create, analyze, and edit design features such as roads, roundabouts, and bridges while collaborating with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 software. At the end of our lecture we will share our final design models to the cloud to be accessed by Autodesk 360 cloud-computing platform and InfraWorks 360 software web viewer. In addition, we will also animate our final design into a video presentation with 3ds Max Design software.

Tony Carcamo

Tony Carcamo is the CAD/BIM Manager for BIG RED DOG Engineering | Consulting . At BIG RED DOG Engineering | Consulting , Tony is in charge of implementation and training for all Autodesk software including establishing and maintaining company CAD standards. He is also a senior designer working on site grading, road design, and drainage & hydraulics. Tony has 18 years of experience in the civil engineering field and has used Autodesk Civil 3D since it first appeared in 2006. In 2011, Tony was the presenter for DCCADD at Ft. Worth local user group meeting on Roundabout Design. In 2013 he became a AutoCAD Civil 3D Certified Professional and Autodesk Certified BIM Specialist with InfraWorks. For many years Tony has also been an active participant in the Autodesk Civil 3D Beta Community, Autodesk Labs, Autodesk Advisor Member, Autodesk Mentor Member,AUGI Member, and provided feedback in the Autodesk Feedback Customer Community. In addition, Tony is also Global eTraining online courseware author to InfraWorks 2015 & 2016.

Tom Richardson

Thomas “Tom” Richardson is a CAD Manager for MWM DesignGroup in Austin, Texas. His duties include installation and implementation of software, training and documentation, supporting technicians and professionals in all departments, and engineering design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D, InfraWorks 360, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and ESRI ArcMap.

Tom is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas. He has over 20 years experience in the land survey and civil engineering field in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area. Tom is also a freelance AutoCAD Civil 3D software instructor, an Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) member, an Autodesk discussion forum poster, a blogger, and a Tweeter. In 2015 Tom was nominated and accepted to the Autodesk Expert Elite program. Tom is an AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and 2013 Certified Professional.

As a technical editor for Sybex/Wiley, Tom's credits include Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk InfraWorks and InfraWorks 360 Essentials.

Juan Soto

Juan Soto is a Civil Designer for Kimley-Horn in the Fort Worth, TX office. KH ranks in the top 31 of ENR top 500 design firms and they also ranked as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work for” by Fortune magazine.

He has 20+ years’ experience with both Autodesk and Bentley products. His experience includes a variety of project types including land development, aviation, industrial, highway and conceptual master planning.

Including 10 years as a CAD manager, 3D marketing visualization specialist for Graham Associates Inc. in Arlington, TX.

Juan current duties at Kimley-Horn besides the design aspect, he is responsible for training users, generating 3D visualization conceptual rendering to ensure constructability and BIM coordination on projects.

Ishka Voiculescu

Ishka Voiculescu is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) /CADD manager for the engineering services division of the City of Austin’s Public Works Department in Austin, Texas. He has 8-plus years of experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Land Desktop software, and various experiences working with other software products from Autodesk, Inc.; Bentley Systems, Inc.; Dassault Systèmes; and many other companies. Besides design, he is responsible for research and development of standards, training materials, and ways of implementing BIM technologies within his department and expanding their adoption citywide. He is also co-author of the books, Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 and Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 2016, both published by Wiley.
