Description

This class will demonstrate the symbiotic relationship between hand sketching (digital) and 3D CAD. We will detail how you can capitalize on 2 sides of the same coin to improve skills on the other side. Come explore how sketching can improve CAD skills and how CAD skills can improve drawing and conceptualizing ability. The class will touch on workflow for SketchBook software and Fusion 360 software in addition to collaboration between the two.

Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith has been an industrial designer in the consulting field for over 21 years. In addition, Jeff was an adjunct faculty member at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s industrial design department for 8 years. Last December, Jeff joined Autodesk, Inc.’s, Education Team with a focus on Fusion 360 software field engagement. Industrial design, design thinking, CAD, and, most importantly, sketching are core skills for Jeff.
