This lecture will consist of a walk through of the doorframe barcoding process and the integration with BIM 360 Field software issue and equipment tracking. We will take the class through a step-by-step process of project understanding and setup, BIM 360 Field software information inputting and setup (2 options), on-site tagging, and issue and equipment tracking using BIM 360 Field software and the barcodes.

Chris Patton

As the virtual design and construction (VDC) manager at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., Chris Patton is responsible for management and implementation of McCarthy’s VDC Program for projects within the Texas Division. He is also a member of McCarthy's VDC National Committee, providing overall development and direction of the company's countrywide VDC strategy and processes. Chris leads a team of engineers who create models for site logistics planning, estimating, self-perform work, constructability reviews, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) coordination. He manages the VDC process, becoming an integrated member of the Project Team and making sure team members' models and deliverables meet specific requirements. Chris also focuses on development of VDC project strategy, field personnel training, Building Information Modeling (BIM) execution, and research and development of new BIM technology. His goal is to provide the best solutions to project challenges and BIM is a tool that enables all to achieve that.
