This hands-on lab is designed as a follow up to the Adding Classification to your Autodesk PLM 360 lab, but it is appropriate for anyone with basic Autodesk PLM 360 software Classification experience. This course will enable you to access more advanced-use cases for classification in Autodesk PLM 360 software and take your tenant to a higher level of functionality. Through firsthand experience you will learn to create an automated smart-part numbering system and automated part descriptions. We will then use the Autodesk PLM 360 software BOM functionality to add parts from a part catalog structured using classification. Finally we will demonstrate how to approach importing or migrating data into Autodesk PLM 360 software classification structures. If you are implementing Autodesk PLM 360 software or are continuously improving your tenant, this lab will give you the tools and experience to maximize the power of Classification.
Have you ever wanted your item workflow to do more for you? Do you find yourself wondering who should do what and when? Ever ponder how to make your synchronous workflow behave more synchronously when integration with Vault software? Say goodbye to those boring old workflows! Learn how to go beyond the limitations of mere group-based precondition scripts and instead provide permissions on an item-by-item basis. Learn how to expose the current status of your items at every transition, thereby providing greater and simpler reporting. See how you can use a workflow state to create an effective way to align your Vault software transactions without having those messy Vault software errors disrupt your item status. This class will be heavy on coding with lots of examples, so be ready and get your nerd on.
The purpose of this session is for customers to discuss their overall experience with Autodesk PLM 360 software, from initial product discovery through trial and implementation to the support and renewal process. The goal is to identify problem areas where customers may struggle and identify opportunities for improvement. This roundtable session enables customers to convey their struggles faced while getting the product up and running and discuss HOW they did it. Furthermore, it’s a great opportunity to network with other PLM 360 customers and a chance to discuss use cases and product wishes/improvements with the user experience team.
This class will demonstrate a company’s view of going beyond the traditional use cases of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Autodesk PLM 360 software deployment at VACCO Industries illustrates a new, creative, vibrant future of business system integrations and new product development processes. You will experience an environment that collaborates in real time—people, systems and departmental functions from customers, sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing through production. Once a vision, but now a reality of how VACCO added more value to their company by deploying simple functions of another kind of process across their business.
In this course you will learn how Inphi Corporation has capitalized on the Autodesk PLM 360 solution to manage its Enterprise business processes; including new product introduction, items and BOMs, change management, quality management, supplier management and much more. Share Inphi’s excitement about being able to improve visibility to project managers, executives, and indeed the entire global organization by incorporating all of these business applications onto a single platform. Understand how Inphi has improved compliance to their NPI and Quality processes by implementing task management with workflow validation and a tiered approval process. Learn how Inphi tracks their development process through the use of connected, but dedicated, workspaces for Engineering, Marketing and Operations. See how Inphi leverages Jitterbit to integrate with several other business systems such as salesforce.com, Oracle EBS, and Autodesk Vault. By attending this class, you will go on a tour of how Autodesk PLM 360 has transformed Inphi’s business and could potentially transform yours as well.
In this class we will cover the basics of integration using Autodesk PLM 360 Connect software. We will provide a review of the Autodesk PLM 360 Connect toolset and an overview of the Autodesk PLM 360 software API. To review these topics we will create a basic integration between Autodesk PLM 360 software and NetSuite, Inc., to manage NetSuite suppliers from within Autodesk PLM 360 software. Supplier management is easy using the workflow in Autodesk PLM 360 software. During the class we will build a connector to create and manage suppliers in NetSuite.
There is a lot of hype around cloud computing and there are a lot of claims about whether it can really be transformative. While the total cost of ownership benefits are proven, there still appears to be many questions about whether the cloud can deliver the same level of functionality. In this presentation we’ll examine how the cloud has changed the ways that designers and manufacturers are utilizing information technology and maximizing on it to better apply lean principles in their businesses.
Behlen Mfg. Co. will demonstrate how they use Autodesk PLM 360 software workspaces, from receiving a building order all the way to the building being assembled on the job site. This class will also include the functionality of the Autodesk PLM 360 software app for mobile devices.
What is PLM? How do I know if I am ready for product lifecycle management (PLM)? How complicated is it to set up Autodesk PLM 360 software? Are you currently managing your day-to-day workflows by emailing your Microsoft Excel spreadsheets around? Do you wish there was a better way to organize the state of your products within the manufacturing timeline. Have you wondered about PLM but thought it probably wasn't for you? This discussion will be a great opportunity to see how customers (especially from smaller companies with few employees) can take advantage of Autodesk PLM 360 software. In this discussion we will showcase how some of the basic workflows work, how they can apply to your workflow, and how implementing Autodesk PLM 360 software will have an immediate impact on your efficiency. We will discuss and show examples of workflows, milestones, and approvals—what we ship out of the box and what level of implementation you should consider.
Configurator 360 software offers a powerful way to deploy engineering and business rules to generate quotes for custom product configurations that include 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, and pricing details. Autodesk PLM 360 software offers the perfect platform for managing workflows for the managing and processing of quotes and orders. By integrating these 2 Solutions we can create a powerful Solution for creating and managing engineering, configured to order product quotes and orders and the critical outputs they need. In this session we will review how to build and combine the components of this integrated process. We'll demonstrate how to create and deploy configurations using Configurator 360 software, how to structure workspaces for quoting engineered-to-order products, and how to integrate these into a single solution.
As a user of Autodesk PLM 360 software, you will undoubtedly have a good knowledge of the core capabilities of the product, such as creating and modifying items, and taking part in process workflows. But, outside of this, there is a broader range of features which many users never take advantage of. Sometimes they are unaware they exist, or they shy away from them. Learning how to use these features—such as creating your own reports and charts, importing and exporting data, and developing your own print views—opens up a host of possibilities to be more efficient and to get the most value from Autodesk PLM 360 software. This session will introduce you to these broader features and, in no time at all, you will become an Autodesk PLM 360 software power user!
