Save time. Increase efficiency. Save money. Although AutoCAD software, especially AutoCAD Mechanical software, ships with over half a million standard parts and features, a specific item you require may not exist. For example, GOST steel shapes and piping parts. There are other cases where you need a variation of an existing standard part. For example, a steel shape with a hole in a specific place. In all such scenarios, AutoCAD Mechanical software provides the ability to build your own content and store it in custom content libraries, which you can share across different teams and co-workers. The class aims to show you how to use the Content Manager in AutoCAD Mechanical software to build custom content.

An MPhil in computer science from University of Cambridge and an MBA from Indian School of Business (Hyderabad), Gaurav has regularly spoken at entrepreneurial summits. An artist and a musician on the right side of his brain, he is keenly interested in design and has driven the next-generation strategy and execution of an array of successful products.
IQL will show how there are different ways of working/interacting with the built environment and explain the integrated project delivery: client, project manager, and main contractor being 1 team with the same goal approach. We'll explain how we developed a strategy, managed the design, and delivered from concept design to project handover using different digital technologies at different stages. This class will demonstrate how we've created a strategy and EIR for a project that will run for the next 8 years and which will attract future tenants. We’ll show this from a project management point of view: management of the design stakeholders, management of design, BIM for master planning, quantification, the use of BIM for visualisation/VR, and BIM as a product to attract tenants. From a construction management view, we'll demonstrate trade design coordination, supply chain management/education, BIM on-site, 4D sequencing and construction optimisation, and BIM use for tenant engagement.
If you are working with AutoCAD Mechanical software and want to know the precision tools for increasing efficiency and productivity through custom bill of materials and parts lists, then you will benefit from this class. In this interactive session, we will look at the things that make you think smartly with AutoCAD Mechanical software’s Bill of Materials. Avoid any challenges to procure and manage your lead time. Join us to see the intuitive tool that can help to build an effective CAD environment. This session features AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD.
This intermediate-to-advanced hands-on lab offers AutoCAD 3D software veterans a chance to explore the 2D model documentation of 3D models from AutoCAD 2017 software. After creating base views and projected views from 3D solid or surface models, we’ll explore sectional views. Using 3D models, we will create full, half, offset, and aligned sectional drawing views. We will create circular and rectangular detail views. We will explore editing techniques of the 3D models and update the derived drawing views. We will also explore undocumented Auxiliary View features. If you used AutoCAD 3D software in the past to create 2D multiview drawings from 3D models, attend this class and get ready to be surprised. This session features AutoCAD, AutoCAD 360, and AutoCAD Mechanical.
Selling complex and customized equipment is challenging at best, and creating a compelling bid package is critical to winning more business. This class will show how to use Factory Design Suite software to accelerate the creation of a build proposal, how to create compelling content, and how to create a bill of equipment required for costing the proposal.
Each release of AutoCAD software translates to bigger and better features, but some old tools have never changed. Scripting is one of these tools. It's still just as powerful today as it was when introduced into AutoCAD software back in the late ‘90s. If you can key in commands at the command line, you can script. If you're not familiar with the Action Recorder, you’ll learn in this class how to create some easy macros to use for increased speed of design. Regardless of your knowledge of scripting or the Action Recorder, you'll go from zero to hero in 60 minutes in this class.
Do you maintain AutoCAD platform tools for a bunch of users? Do you have to support branch offices? If so, this class will help you get your AutoCAD environment under optimal control via AutoLISP® customization, CUI customization, and a unique way of synchronizing networked content with the user's machine to achieve maximum speed. We will cover centrally located standards content such as palettes, CUIs, plotting files, databases, blocks, and other content using a combination of profiles, project folders, registry access, and AutoLISP to control it all. Particular attention will be paid to achieving maximum speed for the user. All concepts will be presented using a sample environment that you can alter to fit your company immediately after class. Whether you use plain AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D®, AutoCAD Architectural, or AutoCAD Mechanical, this class will give you the knowledge you need to finally get all your AutoCAD tools under centralized control with maximum speed.
