Lucy Kuhns

Lucy Kuhns first joined Autodesk, Inc., in 2006 as a civil technical specialist. She is now working as an Autodesk premium support specialist, where she is helping enterprise customers successfully harness the power of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and virtual design and construction (VDC) tools and methods related to infrastructure projects. Lucy is began her career as a mechanical engineer, working on helicopters for Hughes Aircraft Company; off-road vehicles for Honda Motor Company, Ltd.; and bi-modal rail equipment for a small startup in which she was a principal. Later she turned her focus to civil engineering and land surveying and had a professional practice in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. Believing that technology would set her company above the rest, she was an early adopter of CAD, high-accuracy geographic information system (GIS), and automation techniques both in the office and in the field, and Autodesk software was key to that success.
