Vault software has had some major enhancements in the last year, especially in areas such as Items and Bill of Materials, Inventor Integration, Copy Design, and more. This class will give you an overview of some of these enhancements. Please note that in this class we will be going over some of the features that were introduced in Vault 2015 R2 software as these features are significant contributors to the evolution of Vault software.
Especially designed for the young Padawan learner—this is Vault software Behaviors and how to use them. The force is not required as a prerequisite to this class, but is highly recommended. The main focus of this class is primarily using Vault software Behaviors and does not cover administration (it takes a Jedi Master to learn those skills). This is the second of a series of 3 Vault software Behaviors classes focusing on using categories, lifecycles, revisions, and properties. After this class the next step of your journey to becoming a Jedi Master is to seek out the class, Behaviors 301 for Jedi Masters. Note: The use of light sabers is strictly prohibited during class.
Do you have challenges managing data while working in project teams? Are your project's teams spread out geographically? Are you constantly emailing drawing files to Project Team members? If so, this class is for you! During this session we will dig into the tools and explore tips and techniques that will enable you to successfully implement Vault Professional software to manage the project delivery process. We will pay special attention to categories, lifecycles, and revision schemes, as well as to methods for effectively collaborating with external partners.
Do you know what Vault software is? Do you know what Vault software is really for? Do you know why you should use it? This class will answer those questions. Come and join us as we give an introduction to the Vault software products. We'll start with a quick overview of the products and then progress into what they are and why you should use them. Knowing why you use the features can be just as important as the way that you use them. If you are anything but a "power user" of Vault software, this class is for you.
Whether you’re planning your first installation or maintaining a global replicated network, this class will walk you through the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and migration of your Vault software implementation. Learn how to properly plan for the growth of your deployment and how to maintain your Vault software to match the evolving needs of your business. As your system grows over time, you will need to migrate from version to version of the product as well as of the SQL and the operating system. Class topics will include capacity planning, disaster recovery, system monitoring, and SQL optimization. Learn from the experts to ensure your Vault software success.
Explore communication media that is much more effective than legacy methods to convey knowledge in the utility space. We will discuss efforts at Pacific Gas and Electric Company to streamline the communication of electric-distribution construction and design standards with an emphasis on enhancing knowledge. This class is designed to assist you in developing a proposal and business case to migrate the content of your standards into a digital format and share that content with others.
The overwhelming amount of data associated with modern design projects can be staggering. Add to that the difficulty of finding the correct version of a file, navigating through complex directory structures, and ensuring that you're working with the most current version of your design, and your senior professionals may be spending as much as 25% of their day handling data management tasks. This session shows you how Vault Professional software can not only eliminate that overhead but also actively improve your workflow processes to reduce project completion times and dramatically increase your profitability.
A young Jedi's first foray into understanding the force—or rather, fundamentals of Vault software document behaviors, including an introduction to the concepts of properties, revisioning files, lifecycles, and how they all work together to provide a complete document-management experience.
The session will focus on dynamic railway engineering using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. You will find out how you can use AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete a railway project from engineering solutions to detailed drawings. The session will reveal the possibilities of AutoCAD Civil 3D software in the creation of dynamic Building Information Modeling (BIM) infrastructure models, such as railways, roads, pipelines, and so on. We will show how Vault software facilitates the efforts of the entire Project Team, ensures smoother transfer of information, and increases the efficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D software data shortcuts. We will provide practical examples on how Vault software helps to ensure higher quality for the project and avoid possible human error.
The cloud—it's everywhere. People talk, and you want to use it. But how? Your data—it's everywhere, or at least it seems like it is. You want to control it, and Vault software is a great way to do that. But how? Especially when your organization is everywhere as well? And what about all those external partners that help you with all that data? Maybe Vault software and the cloud are meant for each other. They certainly can be. In Cloudy with a Chance of Vault we'll look at how you can capitalize on a hosted infrastructure with Vault software to tackle your worldwide data management challenges. From an understanding of what these powerful tools offer to examples of how they can work together, this class will show you how to make the most of Vault software, capitalizing on a cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
