This lecture will attempt to show you how to integrate a utility model used for distribution, transmission, and substation into advanced engineering tools like O-Calc, SPIDA, Robot Structural Analysis software, and Advanced Steel software. We will also discuss the capabilities of APIs to exchange data between design and analytical tools so that you can plan your integration and extend your utility's workflow without copy/paste data.

Sudarshan Ramalingam has been a solutions architect for 20 years, and he has extensive consulting experience in Utility Design Solutions and related technologies. Ram has delivered successful projects in the utility industry, and he has the experience of the whole project lifecycle. He is also experienced in delivering projects for the telecom, utilities, banking, and airline industries. He has a strong database and enterprise geographic information system (GIS) integration technology background, and he has extensive background in integrating enterprise systems using open standards and middleware technology. He is currently responsible for providing solutions to integrate Autodesk, Inc., products into the workflows of utility customers. He is a veteran presenter at Autodesk University.
