Description

In this hands-on lab, you learn how to move legacy 2D drawings made in AutoCAD® software into 3D digital prototype models in Inventor® 3D CAD software. This lab also covers how to use the 3D data in Inventor to digitally design, visualize, and simulate, enabling you to easily visualize your products virtually, thus reducing time and money for physical prototypes. We also discuss how to easily share the 3D model across multidisciplinary teams of designers and engineers.

I am Mechanical Engineering Masters graduate with good experience in Autodesk Manufacturing solutions. I am passionate about sustainable design and excited to be working with Autodesk which provides complete set of tools for sustainable design.I work in premium support services team working with enterprise accounts helping them minimize downtime and increase use of Autodesk suites products by providing mix of proactive, preventive and reactive support. I also have interest in business development of premium support services working closely Autodesk sales teams.

Alessandro Gasso is currently employed as Premium Support Specialist within Autodesk's Premium Support Services - Global Services department and leads the Premium Support EMEA MFG Design Team.In his past twelve years with Autodesk he worked as Product Support Specialist for Inventor, supporting mainly South European Customers and Partners.Then, he has led for two years the EMEA Inventor Product Support Team and was the EMEA Technical Lead of Inventor for one year.Alessandro is a coauthor of the Being Inventive Inventor blog and was a speaker at the AU 2012.Prior to Autodesk he worked for seven years as Mechanical Designer for a company in the Defense industry, using products as AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop and Inventor.Alessandro is a native from Italy; he speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese and holds a Masters in electro-mechanical engineering from the University of Naples.
