Curtis Smith

Curtis is registered professional engineer and BIM for civil engineering specialist at Gresham Smith and Partners in Nashville, TN. He was brought into the 500+ employee A&E firm in early 2011 primarily as a civil engineer, but also in hopes of helping the Land Planning division successfully implement a BIM solution. Almost immediately he push to move away from the old CAD platform into the Autodesk platform, particularly into AutoCAD Civil 3D, and began developing from scratch the internal infrastructure and standards needed for successful implementation. For this he was given the company's annual award for leadership in technology. Curtis brings over 6 years of Civil 3D experience and Civil 3D 2013 Certified Professional status. Along with his day-to-day project engineering duties, he is responsible for the development and maintenance of drawing templates, workflow standards, training, and support for over 50 Civil 3D users in 7 offices across the US.
