Architects, designers, visualization specialists, and Autodesk Showcase users
Marion Landry has over 15 years of experience in Architectural Visualization, working with a wide range of software including Autodesk® 3ds Max® / Autodesk® 3ds Max® Design and Autodesk® Showcase™ software. She has worked for various architecture firms in Vancouver, BC on numerous projects from concept design to high-end visualization.
As a Technical Marketing Manager for Autodesk , she focuses on the creation of technical demonstrations and workflows with Autodesk® 3ds Max® Design and Autodesk® Showcase™ products. She also contributed in the writing of multiple white papers including: Daylight Simulation in 3ds Max Design 2009 (Getting started and advance), Using the Autodesk Civil Visualization Extension for 3ds Max Design and AutoCAD Civil 3D and more recently Easier mental ray rendering for designs workflows.
This class will provide tips, tricks, and best practices for using Autodesk Showcase software in the context of an architectural project. AutoCAD® or Autodesk® Revit® users who want to explore a project with their peers or present it to their customers will find this class very interesting.
This class will provide both techniques and actual working methods and workflows used with Autodesk Inventor software to create architectural content, such as furniture, cabinetry, millwork, and structural building designs. The class emphasizes actual construction procedures using the latest version of Autodesk Inventor and many of the core development tools (iLogic and confidity®). By using Autodesk Inventor for the wood trades, you can accomplish tasks that usually take hours or days in a fraction of the time and produce accurate results the first time around.
This class presents a case study of the evolution of the design process within a historically traditional company. We will cover how we use modern design and visualization technology to maximize design efficiency while integrating with traditional workflows. This class is led by Senior Designer Jon Wells and focuses on the project development of the critically acclaimed Morgan 3 Wheeler.
Fiat is one of the top car manufacturers in the world and is using the power of simulation extensively in their product development. In this class, we will show how simulation technology can be used to validate design and quantify defects that can show up during manufacturing and final assembly. We will visualize production defects in plastic parts using Autodesk® Moldflow® and Autodesk Showcase®.
