Using Autodesk Revit software for architectural and structural design in the residential single family and multifamily arena has not been without its challenges. However, new tools that are based on Autodesk products make it possible to solve complex roofs and address the surprisingly complex realities of light-frame wood construction. Prefabrication and manufacturing have long been a staple of production housing, and Revit makes these workflows a reality in 2012. You will see how you can take full advantage of Building Information Modeling (BIM) at a time when the economy has builders scrambling for ways to do more with less and to streamline their processes. You will see examples of designing with roof and floor trusses, shear walls and hardware, I-Joist framing, and wall panelization during this exciting presentation.
