We will cover the basics of using Autodesk® Constructware®, Autodesk® Buzzsaw®, and WebDAV servers to synchronize project information clouds (PIC) to mobile devices using low-cost Apple® iPad® apps. You will learn the basics of setting up a cloud-based system, enabling your project team to take project information with them to the field, where it matters most, even where there is no Internet coverage.

Daniel is a Civil Engineering Graduate from San Diego State University. He had construction operations experience prior to moving into a BIM Manager role with Balfour Beatty Construction. His construction project portfolio ranges from $7 Million dollar school buildings to $220 Million dollar facilities. Daniel is an advocate for Lean Construction and has also been active in the Lean Construction Community in San Diego for over 4 years.

In this class, we will demonstrate several workflows and strategies for getting project data into the field. We will explore how this can be done on Apple® iPads®, Android™ tablets, and Microsoft® Windows®-based devices. We will show how project managers, inspectors, and surveyors can access information when they need it the most—in the field—even without an Internet connection.
