David Joslin

David is a VDC Engineer at Gilbane Building Company and an Associate AIA member. He earned both a Masters and Bachelors of Architecture at the University of Arizona, and is an Autodesk© Revit© certified professional. As an undergrad, he worked with both the Drachman Institute and the Drachman Design Build Coalition. During his graduate studies, he was a Graduate Assistant for classes in Building Technology as well as Design Communication. In both degrees, he taught himself several BIM applications and explored their potential for information sharing. As an intern at an architecture firm, David assisted with the transition from CAD to Revit while working on several LEED projects. After his time there, David was hired to join the Virtual Design and Construction group of Gilbane’s Western Region, and has since enjoyed many opportunities to further the collaboration and use of BIM on the construction side of the industry.
