We will learn effective practices for working with AutoCAD Plant 3D software, AutoCAD P&ID software, Navisworks project review software, and other Autodesk, Inc., packages in a 3D modeling environment. Additionally, we will cover some of the most effective ways to find solutions to your questions through Autodesk technical support, social media, and knowledgebase sites.
Piping Designers and Engineers who have intermediate or advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Joel Harris worked for 5 years as an Autodesk Reseller and third-party developer, and he worked for over 20 years as a piping designer and software administrator in the oil and gas engineering field. He is the author of Process Piping Design with AutoCAD Plant 3D software college curriculum and has taught both AutoCAD software and AutoCAD Plant 3D software at the college level. He is a returning Autodesk University instructor.
In this class you will learn how AutoCAD P&ID software and AutoCAD Plant 3D software work with their databases, what databases exist in AutoCAD P&ID software and AutoCAD Plant 3D software, and what is stored in them. We will cover the tables and views that exist and what these tables and views contain. Along with the existing views, you will see how the databases that you can use with a tool like PlantLink have the potential to speed up your creation of a piping and instrumentation diagram. You will learn how to become faster and create fewer errors. We will create several customer examples with varying degrees of complexity.
