Sustainability at AU 2012

Creating a better world is core to what we do at Autodesk—better for the planet, better for people, and better for business too. We continually raise the bar on sustainability, striving to be ahead of the curve and sharing what we know.

Measuring and reducing Autodesk’s carbon footprint has been our overarching focus, as well as how we efficiently use water, materials, and other resources in our own facilities and across our value chain. This strengthens our business and creates knowledge we can share with others.

Each year, Autodesk hosts several conferences with tens of thousands of attendees and participates in industry trade shows worldwide—such as Autodesk University. These events are important for our business, but impact the environment through greenhouse gas emissions from travel, energy use, and lodging, as well as materials use and waste.

At Autodesk University, we are working closely with MGM Resorts and Mandalay Bay to create a better world, starting with this event. From keeping waste out of the landfill to monitoring energy use and even selecting more sustainable food, AU is a reflection of Autodesk’s ongoing commitment.
