CAD Management PowerTrack

The CAD Management PowerTrack is a series of classes that cover the typical "problem areas" that CAD managers must deal with everyday. These nine hours of instruction are designed to provide timely, topical coverage using lecture, panel, and Q&A formats, allowing for more interaction than traditional lecture-only PowerTracks.

This track will enable attendees to:

  • Examine training and standardization methodologies.
  • Learn new management strategies and best practices.
  • Examine training and standardization methodologies which are more crucial than ever.
  • Examine methodologies for transitioning from 2D to 3D design environments.
  • Provide knowledge that can be used immediately.
  • Take advantage of the whole AU experience for networking, including unconference sessions and informal receptions.
  • Create working communities that can collaborate after AU.

Networking

Because CAD managers have few opportunities for interaction with their peers, this PowerTrack will present opportunities for professional networking and personal interaction. In addition to the classes, PowerTrack attendees will be able to take advantage of the following:

  • Daily unconference sessions that give personal access to instructors and interaction with other CAD managers
  • Birds-of-a-Feather lunch sessions with groupings for large, medium and small company CAD managers
  • Class recommendations for programming, IT, and business classes outside the CAD Manager PowerTrack
  • A social mixer specifically for CAD Management PowerTrack attendees

Class Materials

Class materials for all PowerTrack modules will be consolidated into a single packet available to all who attend any module. After AU, the materials will be updated to include links to session recordings and additional materials so your learning can continue.
