Each of our speakers brings different backgrounds and experiences to this session, but every one of them will challenge your perceptions and instill optimism for the future of education. - Insights into How Students Learn Today
Sugata Mitra is a Professor of Educational Technology at the School of Education, Communication, and Language Sciences, Newcastle University, UK. Prof. Mitra works in the areas of Cognitive Science, Information Science and Educational Technology. Learn more about his work in this TEDTalk.
- Preparing Students with the Skills Needed for the 21st Century Workplace
Cathy Davidson has served as the Ruth F. DeVarney Professor of English at Duke University since 1996, and is the cofounder of HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Sciences and Technology Advanced Collaboratory), and author of “Now You See It.” Watch a discussion from the authors@google.
- Innovation in Education Today
Katie Salen is Professor of Design and Technology, and Director of the Center for Transformative Media at Parsons the New School for Design. She is also the executive director of the Institute of Play, which is focused on games and learning. Katie is featured in this video from Edutopia.
The Educator Summit has specific tracks across various fields of study for secondary and postsecondary educators. These classes feature best practices in the use of technology in the classroom for engaging and inspiring today’s students.
