Developing Computational Design Strategies with Autodesk® DesignScript
DesignScript is a new end-user scripting language based on the AutoCAD® platform. DesignScript provides users who have some initial experience in scripting with a unique opportunity to extend their programming skills and to create complex models using curve, surface, and solid geometry within AutoCAD software.
DesignScript is also integrated with aspects of Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis, Autodesk® Ecotect® Analysis, and Autodesk® Green Building Studio®. Additionally, DesignScript is also integrated with a Genetic Algorithm solver and with the SMARTform form-finding software developed by Buro Happold. These analysis, simulation, and optimization tools enable more advanced modeling and problem solving.
This workshop will help participants develop appropriate design strategies using advanced computational tools based on the DesignScript language.
