Hello Mark I'm at the stage of CAD guru. I would like to know if there is a place where I can find information about office standards. I mean, Is there proven ways that can help most of the offices? or I just need to start from scratch every time. Thank you 07-09-2009 4:44AM

HI Mark the company that i work for has a set of cad standards which is documented by not really adhered to.cad employees merely choose what they wish to use and so fourth.it does not allow for colour representation on drawings as it was developed at the time when colour plotters were nor around.neverthe less the standards if kept to are pretty high and logical. now one of my colleagues decided to make his own symbols chart so that we can use colour symbols.this is all great , however implemantation is a problem. when i questioned this asking for formal documentation that is sign off by management, he cant give.i took the matter up with mange ment and seemed very bored my concerns.it is beginning to irritate me that such a big company shows no respect for key issues that i bring up.we have a set of people who are suppose to be our leaders in each department but they like the title but any work after that is just too much for them.there is no proper systems in place, training implementing checking standards etc. i even started a weekly hint emailing system for all staff(about 200). management attitude is "thats nice" i have downloading some of your classes and hopefully a good read. any helpfull hints on this matter will be greatly appreciated thanks daryl marshall 03-26-2009 6:46AM
