CAD managers

Class Description

Preventative (or proactive) CAD management is the concept of setting up processes and guidelines to prevent things from going wrong, whereas reactive management is responding to problems as they come up. Although reactive management is part of the job, you may find yourself settling into the rut of responsiveness—responding to, but not avoiding problems. Just as changing the oil in your car is a preventative measure, you can put some things in place to avoid trouble later on.

Class Highlights

  • Developing a solid CAD Standard and reviewing it on a regular basis

  • Doing a mid year checkup on yourself

  • Setting up teams to help you manage

  • Creating a technology plan or refreshing the one you have

  • Creating templates for all your file types

  • Organizing your server and all your data and support files
