It would have been interesting had you went into some top-down design methodologies, but there were other classes for that it appears. Good tips for increasing performance in Inventor though!

Maverick. THis feature is only available in 2009 so make sure you are using release 2009. Then right click to create a new Level of Detail representation and select the option to create new substitute. Let me know if this works or not. What version of Inventor are you using?

The labs shrinkwrap application add-on for 2009 only supports Inventor 32-bit. THe next version will support 64 and 32 bit versions. Very soon

well, I use import/export command in the Applications Options with 3 types of settings that I have made before :large_assemblies.xml, medium_assemblies.xml and small_assemblies.xml. That helps me decreasing time for changing all the settings everytime.
