New Exam Program for AU Attendees
This year, we are excited to introduce a new exam program for AU attendees. The 2013 Certified Professional exams are enhanced with additional questions that more accurately assess how well you know the tools, features, and common tasks that are used in practical application of the software. These exams are primarily performance-based, where the majority of the questions require you to use the software to create or modify a data file. Other types of questions include multiple choice, matching, and point-and-click (hotspot).
As an AU attendee, you can advance your career by taking the 2013 Professional Exam free of charge.
Note: The Certified Associate exam will not be available at AU for the 2013 versions of Autodesk® products. To obtain Certified Professional status or to recertify your 2012 Associate status and/or 2012 Professional status, you only need to pass the 2013 Certified Professional exam.

Many of the AEC classes offered at AU are qualified through the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for continuing education credits (CEUs), and some also qualify for Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) credits.
All of the lectures, panels, and seminars listed under the tracks below have been approved for AIA credits:
- Architecture & Building Design
- Construction
- Fabrication for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction
- Facilities Management
- MEP Engineering and Design
- Structural Engineering and Design
Attendees at these classes earn 1.5 credits, and there is no limit on how many credits an attendee can receive at AU.
Those who attend classes that qualify for AIA continuing education credits will be sent a certificate of completion upon request after the AU 2012 conference concludes.
Attendees can send these certificates to other professional associations to see if those organizations will honor the continuing education credits.
How to Receive AIA Credits
- You must enter your AIA member number on the registration form when you register for AU.
- When you attend a class, you must make sure your AU Registration Badge is swiped by 1 of the Autodesk staff when you enter the classroom. By doing so, you will automatically be recorded as having attended the class.
When the AU 2012 conference ends, the AU Team will submit attendance information to the AIA. The AIA will verify the information and send credits directly to you. This process can take up to 1 month.
If you still haven't received your credits 1 month after the conference, contact AU Customer Service at:
